Tahseen Al Zaidi

Tahseen Al Zaidi (Baghdad, Iraq,1974) received his BSc in Agricultural Engineering in 1996. He is a member of the Association of Iraqi Artists as well as the Association of Iraqi Fine Artists. He currently lives and works in Baghdad and Beirut.

His vibrant and intricate artistic style expresses a striking array of emotions, reconciling what initially appears contradictory.

The subject matter revolves around the interaction of children with the realities of war, repurposing its remnants into playful activities—an ethereal metamorphosis from devastation and hopelessness to happiness and affection.

Solo exhibitions of his include ones that were held in Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, and Syria.

The artist has also participated in group exhibitions that were held in Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Netherlands, and Qatar.
