Ali Mourabet

Ali Mourabet (b. 1951) is a Syrian Lebanese artist who resides in Beirut. With a background in architecture since 1976, he has long been fascinated by the designs of buildings, reflected in his artistic works since 1977. He also held a short stint as a caricaturist for print publications in Abu Dhabi between 1978 and 1980.

Mourabet's art is known for its vibrant colors and a blend of the abstract and the figurative. From geometric forms to depictions of everyday Beirut, his work aims to elicit feelings of peace and nostalgia. His paintings meld geometric and descriptive elements, and reflect influences from various art movements, illustrating his rich cultural and artistic foundations.

Mourabet's art has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions in Lebanon, France, the UK, and the United States, and is represented in several UK-based galleries. work has also been used by UNIFReply fundraising events.
