Ghina Kalach
Ghina Kalache is a Lebanese artist on a therapeutic art journey. Drawn to the intricate beauty of her grandmother’s sewing and a deep affinity for patterns, Ghina’s artistic path began at a young age. Her inspiration also stems from growing up between Beirut and London, the many artists in her family, and the mesmerizing worlds of nature and the sea.
A turning point in her journey came during a period of enforced bed rest due to an injury. It was during this time that she formed a profound connection with painting—a medium that offered not only solace but also became a channel for healing and self-discovery.
When creating her work, Ghina enters a trance-like state, detached from the notion of time. She approaches each piece with meticulous care, like crafting a fine piece of jewelry, embedding subtle yet powerful messages waiting to be discovered. What she cannot express in words, she conveys through shapes and colors.
Her technique is water-based, with extensive use of inks, acrylics, and varnish.
Her art is hypnotic—so explore with caution.
