Magali Katra

Katra‘s art is visual poetry overflowing with energy and vivacity, with a distinctive signature style.

The artist captures highlighting human identities, portraying people through bold graphics, assertive postures, graceful fluidity and engaging compositions.
With a mastery of graphic rhythm, she holds up a mirror to contemporary life and depicts the underlying core of society.
Katra holds a Masters degree in Fine Arts from Académie Libanaise des Beaux-arts, Beirut, and was awarded two consecutive scholarships to continue her studies at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts Arts, Paris and the Ecole Supérieure des Arts-Appliqués Duperré, Paris. She also studied Arts Management at the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires, Beirut, and taught at Notre Dame University, Beirut.

Katra’s work has been showcased in many galleries, locally and internationally. And several projects in Europe and USA, including street art, book illustrations, and fashion design, conveying the artist’s vibrant spirit and energy, and unique signature.
