Nada Matta
Nada Matta (Lebanon,1968) graduated from ATEP, Paris and completed her artistic training at the A&F Chantraine dance school in France. Her book “Petite Pepite” won the “Prix Sorcieres” 2017, in the album category.
Matta expresses her appreciation for Lebanon's natural landscapes which she sees as an infinite source of creative energy. Matta's paintings have an easy feeling of fluidity and dynamism due to her use of Chinese ink, colored acrylic, and gold leaf.
Her work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions at Galerie 292RMEIL293, Galerie Mission Art, and ArtScoops in Beirut. Also, she participated in a collective project about the October 17th Lebanese Revolution and three solidarity collective exhibitions after Beirut Blast of August 4th. In addition, she showcased her artworks in Paris and Metz, France.
