Assadour
Assadour Bezdikian, known as Assadour, is a Lebanese-Armenian artist born in Beirut who showed early talent in drawing and pursued studies in Italy and later at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he settled.
Renowned primarily for his engravings, he also works across gouache, watercolor, tempera, and oil painting. His art is influenced by Surrealism, creating intricate, dreamlike landscapes filled with floating, disjointed objects and imaginative forms.
His compositions often feature elements emerging from human figures, reflecting a complex inner world, while his subtle color palette and delicate use of light give his works a refined, almost translucent quality.
