Taghreed Darghouth
Tagreed Darghouth (b. 1979, Saida) is a Lebanese painter known for her abstract impressionist style, using impasto and gestural brushstrokes to address themes of structural violence, popular culture, and marginalization.
Her work draws on diverse influences—from artists like Lucian Freud, Georg Baselitz, and Willem de Kooning to philosophical and cultural references—blending modernist approaches with contemporary concerns.
She studied fine arts at the Lebanese University and later at ENSAD in Paris, also training under Marwan Kassab Bachi in Amman. Darghouth has exhibited widely internationally, including in London, New York, Paris, and Buenos Aires.
