Rima Al Mozayyen

Rima Almozayyen (b. 1977, Damascus) holds a B.A. in Fine Arts Education from Arafat University in Gaza (1999) and an M.A. in Design from Helwan University in Cairo (2008). Her work, which explores symbolic and abstract themes often centered on the Palestinian woman, has been presented in six solo exhibitions and numerous group shows and workshops across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.

Since 2011, Almozayyen has based much of her artistic activity in Italy, expanding her practice to performance, film, and video. Alongside her artistic career, she has held roles in arts education, cultural management, and public-sector cultural programs, experiences that have shaped her distinctive visual language and painterly approach.
